The Worms came into existence in 2007 with two actors: Marcin Wasowski and Michal Lysiak. The cabaret made two premiers, from which the last one was numerously awarded by juries and audience at many reviews and cabaret festivals, including the first prize at the most prestigious Polish cabaret festival PAKA 2008.
Marcin Wasowski (born 10.06.1977 in Warsaw), is a theatrical and cabaret actor, a stage manager, author of scripts, and a theatrical instructor. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Lodz. Since age 17, he has been connected with a youth amateur theatre. In 1998, he began a cooperation with Theatre A from Gliwice. In 2004, he set up the MMS Theatre with two friends, which after 3 years was converted into The Worms. He has a rich experience on the stage – he used to play in musicals, musical performances, dramatic plays, and street shows. He is the author of two monodramas. He also directs concerts and artistic shows, and he conducts theatrical workshops for children and young people.
Michal Lysiak (born 01.13.1983 in Zamosc), is a theatrical and cabaret actor, and theatrical instructor. Since age 20, he has been connected with a student amateur theater. In 2006, he joined the MMS Theatre, which afterwards was converted into The Worms. In 2007, he began a cooperation with Theatre A from Gliwice. He has rich experience on stage – he used to play in musicals, musical performances, dramatic plays, and street shows. He also directs artistic shows and conducts theatrical workshops for children and young people.
